These entry level positions are under direct supervision of the Assistant Parking Manager, the Parking Coordinators, and the Parking Manager. The positions are part-time and event driven. Responsible for directing guests where to park in relation to events on Reliant Park property as well as collect parking fees or passes for access to Reliant Park property. Employees must display great customer service, be able to follow directions well, be able to work in a fast paced environment, and work in the outdoor elements. Must be able to pass a background and credit check.
Including but not limited to the following. Other duties may be assigned.
•Must be customer friendly, self motivated, and enjoy working around people in a fast paced environment.
•Effectively communicate with guests, clients, vendors and other personnel via verbal and nonverbal forms of communication.
•Must have knowledge of cash handling procedures; handle cash transactions accurately and quickly.
•Be comfortable handling and being responsible for money and ticket/roll stock.
•Follow all instructions as issued by his/her superior.
•Must comply with all SMG policies and procedures including the Business Conduct Policy and Code of Ethics.
•Dress in uniform according to the SMG Parking Policy.
•Attend all meetings and trainings as required.
•Maintain an effective working relationship with clients, patrons, employees, exhibitors, contractors, vendors and others encountered in the course of employment.
•Follow oral and written instructions and communicate effectively with others in both oral and written form.
•Work independently, exercising judgment and initiative in a team environment.
•Accept accountability for own decisions, performance and behavior.
•Maintain a client service oriented attitude.
•Remain flexible and adjust to situations as they occur.
•Have a reliable form of transportation and communication.
•Must be able to stand for long periods of time (4 hours+)
•Position may require heavy lifting, climbing, carrying, bending, stooping, and kneeling.
•Position is routinely required to work outdoors and is exposed to the elements (heat, rain, etc.)
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE H.S. Diploma or GED preferred. Cash handling experience is highly recommended for cashiers.
