SUMMARY ESSENTIAL DUTIES Include the following. Other duties may be assigned. · Troubleshoot electrical malfunctions. Repair inoperable electrical equipment and circuits.· Develop and follow preventative maintenance schedule for all electrical machinery, equipment and wiring.· Prepare and repair electrical fixtures and sockets to run required wires for computer hook-ups.· Inspect and assist on electrical work, telephone hook-ups and wiring to insure the facility meets safety standards.· Advise the facility of any problems related to the electrical systems. Report any damages to supervisor.· Maintain, order and pick-up adequate spare parts and supplies. · Advise construction contractors, promoters, event coordinators and others on event’s electrical requirements.· Assist with special event preparation, conversions and post event needs, as requested.· Catalog work, repairs and damages in a daily log.· Work extended and/or irregular hours including nights, weekends and holidays, as needed.· Perform all duties in compliance with applicable law governing electricians.
LICENSE AND CERTIFICATION ’s Possess and maintain a current Maintenance Electrician's license as defined in the Texas Occupations Code, and any additional licenses or certificates required by local, state or national authorities for the operation of the equipment at the facility.
Position requires ability to: .· Possess and maintain a current valid Texas Driver's license, and self-report and convictions. · Possess thorough understanding of the operational procedures, facility capabilities, industry terminology, event-related services, and technical requirements for the types of events anticipated at the facility. · Demonstrate proper knowledge and use of procedures, techniques, machines, materials, equipment and tools used in electrical construction and maintenance.· Understand and work from general instructions, specifications, blueprints, sketches and preventative maintenance schedules.· Follow oral and written instructions and communicate effectively with others in both oral and written form.· Work effectively under pressure and/or stringent schedule and produce accurate results.· Follow and adhere to all safety precautions, rules, regulations, risk management and emergency procedures.· Maintain an effective working relationship with clients, employees, exhibitors, patrons and others encountered in the course of employment.· Organize and prioritize work to meet deadlines.· Work independently, exercising judgment and initiative· Remain flexible and adjust to situations as they occur.
